These are the stock seats in the Evo IV. They feature an amazing 90s seat pattern. Unfortunately, unlike other amazing 90's seat patterns, they haven't aged well. Plus every Evo IV I've looked at has had these seats pretty well worn. Worn enough for me to justify replacing a 15 year old seat at least.

I've considered replacing them with these. Recaro Sports in the also 90stastic, albeit more subdued, Artista fabric. Of course, I'd have to reupholster the door cards, and rear seats too...

Chances are the 15 year old or older seats, seat belts, and steering wheel of whatever I get will be pretty worn. So, they're high on a replacement list.

It's like monochromatic tetris.

But yes, terrible and amazing. I bounce between loving them and not wanting people to see them.

Dude, if their worn you can change them, but if not don't. EVO's were at the height of their rallying success in the 90's, so I feel like the cars should reflect their time period. Plus the design is so bad it's good.

This is one of the better pictures I've seen. The read usually fades to pumpkin orange, The bolsters deflate from 15 years of Japanese butts sliding over them to get out of the car. The plastic harness guides turn kind of a brownish brittle.

Yeah. You can pick up the fabric. It's like $70 bucks a yard though. I would need to do four door cards, and the centers of the rear seats.

The Vs came with Sports, so it's a very OEM+ upgrade.

Oh totally! I mean, if the seat is in good enough condition to stay it will stay. That's like a grand or more I'll be saving by keeping them that con go to tires or something.

Those are actually what I'd want! But AFAIK Recaro makes neither the seats, nor the fabric any longer.

Not my seats either, unfortunately. I'm currently looking at various cars to purchase in the near future, and noticed most Evo 4 seats are wrecked.

I think it is a Recaro Speed which they still produce but I agree I highly doubt this fabric is available anymore.

Yeah. Can't even find the name of the fabric. Sadly, they don't make the Speed in the Artista pattern either. I prefer it's blocky design to the rounder Sport design.
